Izakaya Takasei

Came here on a rainy evening with Nancy who was craving soba noodles. As we approached the door, we knew we would have a long wait. There was a lot of people waiting during prime dinner time. Although there was a wait, it did not feel like we waited that long compared to waiting for a Chinese dimsum restraurant on the weekend.

Dragon Crunchy Roll
Eel, avocado & tempura flakes
Comes with dipping sauce and 2pieces of shrimp tempura
Ten-Zaru Soba
Pork Ginger
Yaki Onigiri Ume
Agedashi Tofu

The food was amazing. Although the yaki onirigi was not a fave. The ume was sweet yet very sour and the rice was grilled but bland. Tasted funny and not like the onigiri I’m used to–with the seaweed.

The environment was really cool though. There was even a floor sitting area where you had to take off your shoes to go inside. I always come to the area due of its close proximity to a favorite Korean restaurant of mine and Target, but I never stepped inside. Will definitely recommend 🙂 as it is a pretty cool experience!
