On our fourth day in Taiwan, we moved hotels: from central Taipei to Shilin. The goal was to be as close to the Shilin Night Market as possible– cause you know, FOOD.
This is a new hotel. It opened a couple of months ago, which was one of the determining factors for us when choosing a hotel in Shilin. The only option at the time was for a ‘1 King Bed with Sofa Bed’. Below are the pictures of the hotel and our room.

To the left is where we had breakfast for two days.

This new hotel screamed modern and sleek. Although this hotel did deliver a “wow” factor, it was at the “Shihlin Kitchen” of all places.
Breakfast buffet with a bunch of varieties? YES PLEASE!

I preferred the Eastern choices, while my dad had the Western style breakfast.

Among the hotels I stayed at in Asia, my most unforgettable one was the W Hotel in Shanghai. Absolutely superb! If you are ever in Shanghai, I recommend that hotel from the bottom of my heart.
The only disappointment my parents had was that the toilet was not TOTO. But that’s minimal. On the rooftop level, they have a swimming pool that overlooks the Shilin area and a garden-like section for mini parties.

DAAANG, this iphone filter. The colors are so vibrant– I LOVE IT! 😍
Even my dad had fun at the bird cage seats 😆.
Come check out this new hotel in Shilin if you’re ever in the area, especially the breakfast buffet! Besides the breakfast buffet, there are other dining options, such as the R bar and Tea Lab. I did not have enough time to try them out but I’m positive it would be an unforgettable experience as well.
